Alex has spent over a decade as a software engineer and engineering manager at companies including IBM, a Series B SaaS startup, and two Austin-based tech firms. He witnessed firsthand how difficult it was for motivated people to break into tech — not due to lack of talent, but lack of access to quality, practical training.
He founded CodeCraft Academy to close that gap. Every curriculum decision, every instructor hire, and every student interaction is guided by one question: does this actually help someone get a job?
Alex holds a B.S. in Computer Science from UT Austin and is deeply involved in the Austin tech community, speaking at local meetups and advising early-stage startups.
